MINNESOTA – Sponsors of House File 100, which covers all aspects of growing and selling recreational marijuana in the state, are hopeful it will pass before May when Legislators adjourn.
According to MINN POST, share the bill will create a new government agency called the Office of Cannabis Management. This agency will oversee recreational and medicinal marijuana regulations throughout the state.
If passed, many aspects of the bill would take effect on July 1, 2023. However, sponsors of the bill say it will likely be 2025 before products are available.
The bill sets 21 as the minimum age for purchasing recreational marijuana legally.
