NJ Cannabis Dispensaries Pushing Forward on Consumption Lounges

Cannabis retailers in New Jersey attempting to push forward with consumption lounges amid many new rules set by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission.

According to NJ.com, Pure Genesis was recently and finally approved by the state for a retail space that would include a consumption lounge.

Old rules required legal cannabis retailers to open a consumption lounge that was on-site at their dispensary but also a separate space from the retail shop.

As of Dec. 2, the commission voted and approved new rules that included the area must be enclosed, whether inside or outside, food or drink is not allowed to be sold on-site, and no alcohol or tobacco can be consumed on-site.
