Legalizing Marijuana Will Potentially Increase Maryland Tax Revenue

BALTIMORE, MD – Political Analyst John Dedie recently predicted that legalization of marijuana in Maryland could lead to a large increase in the state’s tax revenue.

Dedie feels this is why an increasing number of people are in support of legalizing marijuana in the state, according to FOX45 NEWS. The increase of the state’s tax revenue would be accomplished by putting a sin tax on recreational marijuana if it is legalized.

Currently, Maryland is one of the states that will have legalizing marijuana on their ballot in November.

FOX45 NEWS reported earlier this month that most voters are in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana. They reported that 59% of Maryland residents were intended to vote yes to legalizing recreational marijuana and another 7% were still undecided.
