How to Make Cannabis Hair Growth Oil

These days, you don’t have to watch television for very long without seeing a commercial that focuses on hair treatment, hair growth, or hair replacement. The same is true in the hair care aisle of most drug stores and supermarkets.

DIY hair growth serumThey are filled with products that make grand promises about repairing, restoring, or thickening your hair. Unfortunately, many are overpriced, don’t live up to the manufacturer’s claims, or both.

There are many alternatives to using these often-harsh commercial chemical concoctions. One of the most popular methods is to make your own effective hair treatments right at home by using various beneficial, naturally sourced ingredients.

Some of the most popular of these items include coconut oil, which helps to deeply moisturize each strand of hair to prevent breakage and split ends. Olive oil and almond oil can accomplish much the same thing, as does castor oil. Castor oil is widely used to treat hair loss and can also help thicken hair that is starting to thin.

Don’t Forget the Herbs

Other useful herbal ingredients include peppermint, which helps to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. It also provides a cool, refreshing feeling to the skin.

Rosemary helps improve circulation when applied directly to the scalp and assists in stimulating hair growth and providing relief for dry, itchy, or flaky skin.

Lavender doesn’t just have a pleasing, floral aroma; it also contains antibacterial properties that are great for combating dandruff.

Cannabis-Based Oils

Recent research has shown that cannabis extracted CBD oil can also be a great addition to your hair care regimen because CBD can be oil-based and contains large concentrations of amino acids. Styling products and heat can damage your hair over time, but CBD oil helps to fortify and strengthen your hair.

Combining CBD oil with Jojoba oil can help in maintaining a healthy scalp. You can apply it by regularly massaging a few drops directly into your hair at night, right before bed, and then washing it out the next morning.

Making CBD Oil

cbd oil hair growth serumThe first and most important step in creating an effective cannabis-based oil is to make sure that the cannabis flower or shake you use has been decarboxylated (‘decarbed’ for short). Decarboxylation is necessary because cannabinoids are not readily usable to the body’s cannabinoid receptors in their raw form.

If the cannabis you plan to use has not yet been decarboxylated, you can accomplish the task simply by using a LĒVO to decarb, and infuse your herbs into a carrier oil of your choice.  However, if you don’t have a LĒVO yet, but you still want to know how this was done- you can find those manual instructions here.
