MISSOURI – Sales of legal, adult-use cannabis in Missouri have officially passed $1 Billion in all-time sales, MJ Biz Daily reports.
According to data from the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation, the state reached the sales milestone on Tuesday, May 2nd.
Legal cannabis sales in the month of April alone amounted to $121.1 million, comprising of $30.1 million from medical marijuana and $91 million from adult-use cannabis. This is just a slight decrease relative to the $126.2 million in sales recorded in March.
Projections from the 2023 MJBiz Factbook suggest that the total value of cannabis sales in Missouri could reach up to $505 million in 2023.
Missouri’s adult-use cannabis market has dealt with a number of common roadblocks since launching in February, including increased prices and supply issues.
