First Licensed Cannabis Consumption Lounge to Open in Hazel Park

HAZEL PARK, MI – The first-ever licensed cannabis consumption lounge in the state of Michigan is set to open in Hazel Park.
According to News Radio WWJ, Hot Box Social will be located at 23610 John R. Road, just east of I-75.
Michigan-based cannabis company, Trucenta, will own and operate the 3,000-square-foot lounge, which will be the first location in the state to allow the public consumption of cannabis products.
Trucenta will have cannabis experts on-site to help consumers make an educated decision on what products to purchase and consume. They also hope to invite local food trucks and catering businesses for special events.
Although there are plans to open the lounge later this year, no official date has been set at this time.
“Come summer, we’ll start scheduling events so the public can experience Hot Box Social with consumption-friendly activities like social gatherings, educational opportunities, and arts-focused activities,” said Nowfall Akash, a Trucenta spokesperson.
