Alabama launches new association for state’s growing cannabis industry

ALABAMA – The Alabama Medical Cannabis Association launched in order to help the state with it’s growing medicinal cannabis industry. It will help represent and support the industry.
According to Alabama Daily News, the association is intended to help policymakers and business opportunities within the industry. Patrick Lindsey was named as the first Executive Director of the association.
The association’s mission is ““to protect and promote a rational and compassionate approach to Alabama’s emerging medical cannabis regulatory framework.”
Alabama Medical Cannabis Association has the authority to award licenses; such as, cultivator licenses, processor licenses, dispensary licenses, integrated facility licenses, and secure transport and state testing laboratory licenses.
