Dab (Dabbing)

Dabs (other names: honeycomb, budder, wax, shatter, or amber) are concentrated variations of the butane hash oil (BHO). Dabs, therefore, contain high levels of THC, with a concentration of 80% compared to the traditional variations. Modern dab rigs include temperature controls, letting dabbers control the number of cannabinoids and terpenes in the device. Rigs are often equipped with ceramic, titanium, glass nail, and quartz. Others also refer to these rigs as “bangers.” Dabs can also be produced through a chemical process utilizing butane oil for extraction. The butane is poured over the marijuana to extract the THC content of the plant. This results in a solid and gummy product with the highest THC levels.

Meanwhile, dabbing can also refer to pouring oil into vaping devices for consumption. This will leave a discreet smell, unlike other substances with pungent odors.
