Cannabis is a complex plant grouped into three: Cannabis indica, Cannabis sativa, and Cannabis ruderalis. All these plants have psychoactive properties, especially once harvested and dried. Other names for cannabis are pot, weed, or marijuana. Cannabis mainly contains the compounds cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which have opposite effects on the body.

There are various ways of consuming the cannabis plant, such as smoking or vaping, consuming through edibles, brewing as a tea, applying topically, or taking it as supplements or capsules. Its most famous forms are cannaoil, cannabutter, hash oil, hashish, concentrates, or plain marijuana for us with joints, bongs, or edibles. Cannabis research is still underway as some states still prohibit using it.
