In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Beat the egg in a small bowl.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredient mixture. Pour in the milk, the egg, and oil. Mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour the batter onto the griddle.
Lightly brown on one side and then turn over.
Brown on the other side.
Serve hot. Butter them up with additional infused butter if you have any left, and add any toppings or maple syrup. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
