Equipment

  • Microwave or Double Boiler
  • Baking Pan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cannabutter
  • 5 ounces unsweetened high-quality chocolate
  • 1 3/4 cups coconut sugar. If you do not have access to coconut sugar use brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 3 mint leaves finely chopped (optional)

Pro tip: If you do not want brownies with a strong scent of weed add chopped mint leaves to the batter to offset the cannabis flavor.

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    • Grease a 9x13 baking pan.
    • Melt the chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler.
    • Add the cannabutter to the chocolate and mix thoroughly. Then add the sugar, salt, and vanilla.
    • Add the eggs one egg at a time and mix until they are fully combined with the butter and chocolate.
    • Mix in flour and walnuts.
    • Put the batter on the baking pan and bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    • After removing the brownies from the oven, let them cool. Slice into 16 squares.

    Notes

These brownies are delicious, but it is best to be cautious when you eat them, especially if you don’t have much edible experience. Eat one square and wait to feel the effect. These brownies are fairly strong, provided the cannabis was high quality, so be prudent and test them first. It is very important to mark the leftovers clearly as cannabis edibles.
Making your own weed brownies can be a fun learning experience. The key benefit of doing it yourself is knowing exactly how much cannabis is in the brownie and how strong it is. The wonderful effect of the edible buzz, which can last for hours, is something special and worth the effort.
