Cannabidiol (CBD)

Cannabidiol is a chemical found in the hemp or the Cannabis sativa plant. It is an active ingredient and a crucial component found in various purposes of marijuana, including recreational and medical. CBD can be taken by inhaling its vapor or smoke orally or through a cheek aerosol spray. CBD is legal in most parts of the United States since it does not have psychoactive or high-inducing properties. This is because CBD functions as a negative allosteric modulator of receptors, particularly the CB1 receptors. This means that its effects are not indicative of dependence on abuse potential. However, not all CBD products made from hemp are legal. For example, CBD cannot legally be incorporated into food or dietary supplements. But some states allow its inclusion in cosmetic products. However, there is a prescription cannabidiol in the U.S. called Epidiolex.
